So, I want to make the switch to a laptop from a BrailleNote. Anyone know where I can get something good but still cheap? I can afford about $550.
Thanks,
Justin

I think you can get one for that amount of money at best buy, but I'm not entirely sure on that. Take care,

I got mine at Best Buy and paid $650 for it. The best thing to do is research online, check prices, and compare.

You'll be lucky to get a laptop for £250 ($500) I can tell you that now, from personal experience. My laptop cost around US $1000 (£499 from PC World last February) if you want a really good machine like my Tosheba with Windows Vista home and around 2 GB Ram.

You might want to check out places like www.tiger-direct.com or www.geeks.com. They seem to have some laptops and desktops for good prices, although they may be refurbished models. I see nothing wrong with a refurbished model myself as long as the warranty is honored.
